First Post of the Year Dump

Oh my god, can't believe it's 2014 already =0 I will have to start getting ready to apply for an internship very soon... Which I'm not really ready for ._.

So here is some stuff I've been doing over the past months, including project for school, for 3rd year group film, and personal work..

It was a fun trip, but I spend most of the time looking around and the rest at the domestic birds area... lol witness two turkeys trying to rip each other's neck off, which was pretty intense o.o..
Trying out different medias, including soft pastels.. which are pretty fun but hard to control

DUMP

God.. I should really post more often =/ my problem is that i always feel nothing I did or doing is worth to  post and show people...

House design for group film.. STUPID STUPID scanner >.< messed the colours up.. might colour the rest on photoshop later.. MAYBE

Early character concept for film

Trying out different colouring style for the film~ LINELESS IS PAINFUL..

SO.. Finally... this one piece that i started before the summer but got really lazy to finish it off.....bleh, will probably fix it more later on to put it in the portfolio... which is pretty empty now

So... It begins...

Summer update

Yup yup.. lazy summer. The Italy trip was great, except i felt like it somehow drained all my energy. Just been painting on and off, pretty nervous for the coming school year.

Tiny versions of the robots in Pacific Rim, I enjoyed the movie more than I thought I would.

A random Mech design idea. I starting to get fascinated by mechanical drawings so I will definitely improve on that in the future.

Ariel?.... Lol...

I will update more frequently from now on... =O have to get in to pilot mood for the coming school year >.<

update =3

Ahhh sooo many homework =/ I just wanna paint and life draw =(

Painting: OH GOD i hope im improving T^T

Character design assignment: I pick Han dynasty of China around 20 AD.

Life drawing: Trying out brush pen, getting back to conte now and it's pretty hard =/

lazy lazy reading week

>O< so i basically wasted my reading week.... ahhh i feel shammmeeeeffffuuulll

Trying something different with life drawing... a bit hard to get used to because  I'm not comfortable with pen yet ;.;

All 5 mins

I would hope I'm getting better at acrylic =S must keep working at it

More painting =)

So this is what I been doing instead of homework.. Having a lot of fun doing all of it. Frustrating at times, still pretty fun. I think I am improving... Slowly -o-.

Had an up, down, up and then down moment with this painting -o-....at least it looked better  then the one before after learning the proper techniques =)

A "quick" study of a Segarent painting.... ahh if only i can be that good someday ;.;

Looking forwarding for reading week that's coming up =D gonna try to do watercolour~

rough painting

Just a rough painting i did , that i spend too long on. Need to remember why am I doing here. Not because of homework, but because I love what I do...

Life drawing~~

Yeaaa new update =) gonna try very hard to update it weekly now.

Been doing a lot of life drawing since the new semester started. I don't know, it's more like a therapy session to get away from all the stressful homework. I still need TONS of improvement, lack of structure, flatness etc...I swear sometimes I feel like if people eat conte, they can poop a better life drawing than mine~ well, at least is a start =P.

hoho.. look at the weird butt shadow.....

I just like the chest area... nothing else....

Helpful suggestion appreciated~

UPDATE~

Life has been pretty busy lately, gotta push myself hard.

Will try my best to update as often as I can so I can track my improvement =).

Done for the last layout assignment of last year.

Quick sketch from a photo.

Another quick study from a photo.

An another =P. This time experimenting with different brushes

Life drawing T^T first time ever posting one... trying out watercolour this time, 15 mins

5 mins

15 mins

 Unless next time =)

Digital Painting :S

Hoho... up since six, which is a MIRACLE because I love my bed....
Second year has been, well rather busy... More busy then I would like :S I really want to improve on my own pace, which is really hard to do with all the homework. I should really update this blog more often, but I get really chicken out looking at other people's amazing blog.. T^T

Now I think I need to loosen up a lot more and just have fun with this. I had fun doing this, playing with textures for the first time and such, even though it's kinda fugly now that I'm looking at it. =/ Sigh.. I need to learn how to just do it and not care so much about the outcome, and focus on observing and learning it.

Until next time, hopefully soon.......

Painting~

First painting assignment =)
Had fun doing this, could still fix some contrast issues here and there. I think I like acrylic better than gouache, although still needs a LOT of work =/

Traditional Painting

UPLOAD T^T I really should post here more often.... Oh well.
Here is some of the traditional painting that I have worked on in the summer:

Gauche painting of a little girl that I thought was pretty cute. Kind of weird looking here because I took it from an angle =/

Gauche painting of my favorite flower, red spider lily.

Marily Monroe, although it looks nothing like her =/  Acrylic

Phantom of the Opera! =P Also acrylic

 Gauche still-life

Life drawing painting of a nude model, 5 hr-ish. Acrylic.

Hope everyone enjoyed their summer =). I will try my best to finish my other works, and maybe post more often @.@
